Nick Beattie is a freelance photographer and cinematographer in Las Vegas, NV. His spark for photography started in high school in his home state of Minnesota and grew larger when he was in his undergrad at the University of Minnesota Duluth. It wasn’t until his junior year when he imagined himself pursuing it as a career.

Before earning his Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Environmental and Outdoor Education and a Minor in Business Administration, Nick traveled out west for a summer internship as a Photography Intern for Deer Hill Expeditions.

Currently, Nick is the Media Manager for Awaken Las Vegas, a non-denominational church in Las Vegas, NV. Nick’s past experience as Creative Services Producer for KBJR 6 and CBS 3 in Duluth has advanced his knowledge of creative film and digital marketing. Nick specializes in documentary cinematography, promotional videos, on camera interviews, product photos and videos, creative idea building, as well as portraits.

Nick’s creative inspiration ultimately comes from God, but also a handful of people like Jimmy Chin, Chris Burkard, JJ Kelley, and David Cowardin (Blue Forest Films), Peter McKinnon, and Paul Nicklen. Places like the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Lake Superior, the mountains, and the southwest give Nick inspiration as well.
